Battle.net App Update: Virtual Wallet, Inbox, and News Tab Improvements

The Battle.net mobile app has received an update that introduces several new features for managing in-game currencies, staying informed, and browsing content.

Virtual Wallet on Shop Tab

Users can now manage and access their in-game virtual currencies directly from the Virtual Wallet feature on the Shop tab. This addition consolidates currency management into a single location within the app, allowing players to view balances for supported Blizzard titles without navigating away from the shopping experience.

Inbox on News Tab

The News tab now includes a notification Inbox that surfaces the latest Blizzard news and game updates. This change brings announcements and patch information into a dedicated feed, making it easier to track updates from across Blizzard's game lineup without switching between multiple sources.

News Tab Improvements

The News tab has been redesigned with an updated layout focused on video playback and personalized content discovery. The new experience aims to simplify how users find relevant news and watch video content within the app. The redesign builds on earlier improvements to video viewing across the News and Games sections, which introduced an upgraded playback experience in a previous update.

These changes follow the recent addition of the Social tab, which consolidated chat, friend management, and Blizzard Groups into a single interface. The app continues to support account security through built-in two-factor authentication, along with shopping for games and digital goods.
