Users can now modify their insurance coverages from start to finish without leaving the app. The update eliminates the need to switch to a mobile browser to complete coverage changes. Policyholders can navigate to their policy details, make adjustments, and finalize updates entirely within the Progressive app interface.

The in-app coverage update feature is designed to reduce friction during what has traditionally been a multi-step process. Previously, some coverage modifications required users to authenticate through a web browser, even when initiated from the app. The current update closes that gap.

One notable restriction applies to Michigan policyholders. The in-app coverage update functionality is not available for policies in that state. Users with Michigan policies will need to use alternative methods to modify their coverage.

The update arrives as Progressive continues to invest in its mobile platform. The app, which handles policy management, claims filing, and ID card access, now adds this coverage adjustment capability to its existing feature set.
