State Farm App Version 10.164: Trip Visibility and Claims Updates

State Farm has released version 10.164 of its mobile app, introducing two confirmed feature updates for Drive Safe and Save® customers and auto loss reporting.

Most Recent Trip Card for Drive Safe and Save®

Drive Safe and Save® customers can now view a Most Recent Trip card within the app. According to the Google Play listing, this card helps customers identify when they may no longer be recording trips. The feature provides a direct visual indicator of trip recording status, addressing a common point of confusion for telematics users who need to verify that their phone's permissions are actively capturing driving data.

New Incident Type for Auto Loss Reporting

Auto loss reporting now includes a new incident type for objects flying or falling. This addition expands the available categories for describing damage events, allowing customers to more accurately report incidents such as debris strikes, falling tree branches, or objects ejected from other vehicles. Previously, such events would have required selection from a less specific category.

The release also includes several other changes confirmed in the app's public listing:

  • Ohio auto policy changes: Ohio auto policy customers can now make coverage changes to eligible policies directly within the app.
  • Toyota telematics consent: Eligible Toyota drivers can now provide in-app consent to share vehicle telematics data to support claim handling.
