WeCom 5.0 Update: Dayuan AI Assistant, Service Summary Upgrade, and AI Dashboard

Tencent has released version 5.0 of WeCom, its enterprise communication platform, introducing several AI-powered features. The update is now available on Google Play.

Dayuan Smart Assistant

The new smart assistant "Dayuan" is now available to try within WeCom. Users can call it up anytime to summarize chats, read and write documents and sheets, track project progress, and perform other tasks designed to improve workflow efficiency. According to WeCom's official changelog, Dayuan can automatically summarize work progress based on information across WeCom, including chats, documents, sheets, Smart Sheets, meetings, and emails. The assistant also supports inviting colleagues to participate in summarization, aggregating input from multiple team members into a comprehensive report.

A June 2026 report from CryptoBriefing confirmed that Tencent began internal testing of Dayuan on June 23, 2026. The public rollout in version 5.0 follows that testing phase.

Service Summary Upgrade

The "Service Summary" feature has received an upgrade. AI now distills what customers want and surfaces the ones worth prioritizing. This update helps teams handling customer communications identify high-priority messages without manual triage.

AI Dashboard in Smart Sheets

Smart Sheets now include an "AI Dashboard" that converts data into polished, professional reports. This feature builds on the existing Smart Sheet capabilities, which WeCom's changelog describes as helping teams manage projects efficiently in one place.

Additional AI Features in Version 5.0

WeCom's official version 5.0 changelog also lists intelligent summary, smart search, and intelligent robots as part of the update. The intelligent robot feature allows users to create and manage AI-powered robots that can assist with various tasks within the platform.

The update integrates these AI capabilities across WeCom's existing tools, including documents, meetings, emails, events, and WeDrive. The version 5.0 release represents a significant expansion of AI functionality within the enterprise communication platform.
