Wells Fargo Mobile App Update: ExpressSend Integration Now Available

The July 2026 update to the Wells Fargo Mobile app introduces ExpressSend, the bank's international money transfer service, as a direct in-app feature. The update, detected on July 2, 2026, describes ExpressSend as "the easiest and fastest way to send money to your loved ones."

ExpressSend allows Wells Fargo customers to send person-to-person remittances to family and friends in Mexico, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, India, Philippines, and Vietnam. The service supports both one-time and recurring transfers, with the bank handling currency conversion and delivery.

This integration moves ExpressSend from a separate enrollment or web-based process into the mobile app's core functionality. Wells Fargo's ExpressSend Mobile FAQs confirm the service supports transfers to those specific countries and operates through a straightforward process: add a recipient, choose an amount, and the bank manages the currency exchange and delivery.

The update continues Wells Fargo's monthly app release cycle. The version notes state "We are continuing to roll out Wells Fargo Mobile app updates each month" with "New this month" as a secondary note, indicating this is part of an ongoing update schedule rather than a one-time release.

ExpressSend transfers include a fee and a markup on the exchange rate. The rate provided is set by Wells Fargo and includes that markup, as outlined in the bank's ExpressSend Terms and Conditions. Customers should review the fee structure before initiating transfers.

The Wells Fargo Mobile app requires Android OS 10 or higher as of August 2024. The app is only available for download from the United States Google Play Store. Users with Google accounts created using a non-U.S. address cannot install or update the app.

For existing Wells Fargo customers with eligible accounts, the ExpressSend feature is accessible directly within the mobile app after the update. No separate enrollment or new account is required.
