In the analyzed sample, Planes Live - Flight Tracker demonstrates notable utility for live flight tracking and detailed aircraft information, with users praising its ease of use and value for plane spotting or monitoring specific flights. However, recurring complaints focus on the mandatory payment details for a free trial, which multiple sampled reviews described as misleading, alongside reports of inaccurate flight tracking, excessive ads, high subscription costs, and cancellation difficulties. While aviation enthusiasts and those willing to pay may find it useful, the app's monetization and reliability issues appear to be significant barriers for multiple sampled reviews.

Common concerns
Forced subscription and misleading trial A recurring complaint is that users must provide payment details or subscribe to a free trial before accessing the app, often described as misleading, leading to uninstalls.
Inaccurate or missing flight tracking Multiple sampled reviews reported failed flight displays, incorrect statuses (especially delays), and lack of real-time updates, undermining the core purpose.
Excessive and intrusive ads Frequent complaints about ads that interrupt usage, cover content, or pop up repeatedly, making the free version nearly unusable.
High subscription cost Users often found the subscription price too high for the value, especially with free alternatives available, leading to refusal to pay.
