What Users Say

In the analyzed reviews, Skyscanner is valued for its extensive flight price comparison across multiple airlines and providers, helping budget-conscious and flexible travelers find competitive fares. Features like the 'Everywhere' search and price alerts aid spontaneous trip planning and tracking. However, recurring complaints highlight price discrepancies between search results and final booking, missing filters for direct flights or baggage, and the removal of flexible date search options. Issues with third-party booking agents also raised reliability concerns. Overall, the app serves well as a comparison tool for flexible travelers but may frustrate those needing precise filters or direct booking confidence.

What users like

  • Effective flight comparison
Users found competitive prices across many airlines and travel sites, often better than direct bookings.
  • Flexible 'Everywhere' search
Praised for discovering cheap destinations and aiding spontaneous travel planning.
  • Price alerts and tracking
Useful for monitoring fare changes and booking at the right time to save money.
  • Calendar price view
Helped identify cheapest travel dates at a glance, though accuracy was critiqued.

Common concerns

  • Price discrepancies
Prices increased during checkout from initial search or calendar display, causing distrust.
  • Removed flexible features
Users missed flexible date and whole-month search options previously available.
  • Third-party booking issues
Problems with misleading prices, refunds, and customer service from some providers.
  • Missing filters
No pre-search filters for direct flights or baggage, leading to inaccurate comparisons.
